TIF-HELEXPO runs it with POVAKO, the national federation of goldsmiths, silversmiths, jewelers and watch retailers, in Hall 1 of Metropolitan Expo beside Athens airport, and only trade visitors are admitted.
The floor belongs mostly to Greek manufacturers and wholesalers of gold and silver jewelry, wedding rings and religious pieces, joined by watch distributors, gem dealers and suppliers of machinery, packaging and shop software. Retailers come to restock before the summer tourist season, and that is why the show sits in late winter.
The show is reaching further abroad each year. Foreign trade visitors came from 29 countries in 2026, up from 18 the year before, helped by a hosted buyer program aimed at markets such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Moldova and Serbia. The 2026 show had 378 exhibitors on 11,500 square meters.
How it compares
- VicenzaoroVicenza, twice a year
- InhorgentaMunich, 25K
- This show: Athens International Jewellery ShowAthens
- IJS Istanbul Jewelry ShowIstanbul, twice a year
Inside Greece the comparison is with Kosmima, which the same organizer holds in Thessaloniki every October. Kosmima is much smaller, with a little over 70 exhibitors, and suits jewelers in northern Greece who want an autumn restock close to home. Athens is where the national trade, the island and resort retailers, and most of the big Greek houses meet.
For international sourcing the larger fairs set the agenda. Vicenzaoro opens the year in January with about 1,300 exhibitors and is the place to see the Italian industry and the season's trends. Inhorgenta in Munich follows a week before Athens with 900 exhibitors and about 25,000 trade visitors, and is stronger on international watch and jewelry brands for the German-speaking market.
IJS Istanbul Jewelry Show comes a month after Athens with about 1,300 exhibitors and is the bigger sourcing fair for buyers in Southeast Europe and the Middle East who order manufactured gold in volume.
Athens is the better trip for retailers in Greece, Cyprus and the Balkans who sell Greek-made jewelry, and for foreign buyers who want Greek design and silverwork from many producers in a single hall.

Who exhibits
Most stands belong to Greek manufacturers and wholesalers, from silver houses such as Prince Silvero and Silver Union to gold and diamond jewelers such as Kessetzis and Gold Diamond Group. Watch distribution is well covered by Time Center, Chronoteam and Timebox. Exhibitors came from 11 countries in 2026, with Italian makers such as Il Tari and diamond traders such as Unique Diamonds Antwerp, and the Design Section gives independent designers an area of their own.

Athens International Jewellery Show 2027
The 39th show returns to Hall 1 of Metropolitan Expo, one week after Inhorgenta closes in Munich. The organizer is keeping its focus on foreign demand: the hosted buyer program continues as a free benefit for exhibitors, and the Design Section for Greek and international designers is back after a 2026 show that drew trade visitors from 29 countries outside Greece and 378 exhibitors.
- If you buy for tourist shops, galleries or concept stores, start in the Design Section, where independent Greek and international designers show together in their own area.
- Metropolitan Expo is at Athens airport, so buyers flying in from Cyprus, the Balkans or the Middle East can do the show as a day trip without staying in the city center.
- Foreign retailers from the markets the organizer targets, recently Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Lithuania, Moldova and Serbia, should ask about the hosted buyer program, which set up more than 200 meetings with exhibitors in 2025.
- The side program deals with gemstone markets and Greek stones; in 2026 it covered demand and prices for diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds, useful context while precious metal prices are high.
Exhibiting
Stand space is priced per square meter, rising with the number of open sides, and stands of 25 to 48 square meters get a discount on space. Exhibitors can take bare space and build, or choose one of two shell schemes, the higher one fitted with jewelry showcases. Direct exhibitors and co-exhibitors pay a registration fee that covers the catalogue entry, and the hosted buyer program, parking and shuttle service are included. It pays off best for producers and importers selling to Greek and Cypriot retail.
