EICMA S.p.A. runs it for ANCMA, the Italian association of bicycle, motorcycle and accessory makers, and the first show took place in 1914. The six days fall into two parts: the first two are for press and trade visitors aged 18 and over, and the last four are open to the public as well.
Last year the show counted more than 600,000 visits, 734 exhibitors carrying 2,024 brands from 50 countries, and more than 43,000 trade visitors from 167 countries. Over half of those trade visitors came from outside Italy, and the foreign trade audience grew by 28 percent on the year before. The organizer says visitors, exhibitors and floor space have doubled since 2021.
Manufacturers use Milan to present next season's models, so dealers and importers come to see full ranges in one place. The supplier side has a strong Asian presence: Chinese and Taiwanese parts, component and apparel makers take a large share of the halls, which makes the trade days a sourcing trip as well as a launch event.
How it compares
INTERMOT in Cologne is the closest European counterpart and moves to February from 2027, at the start of the riding season, while EICMA comes in November when manufacturers reveal the new model year. A German or Central European dealer who mainly needs to see the brands already on the shop floor will find Cologne the shorter trip. Buyers who want the whole global range, including the many smaller Asian manufacturers, get a broader floor in Milan.
CIMAMotor in Chongqing each September is the place to source directly from Chinese manufacturers and component makers at their home base; it reported 1,120 exhibitors in 2026. EICMA brings a large group of those suppliers to Europe two months later and puts them beside the European and Japanese brands, so an importer can compare both in one visit.
AIMExpo serves the North American powersports trade, with 465 exhibitors in 2026, and suits dealers who buy through US distributors. Motorcycle Live at the NEC Birmingham in late November and the Warsaw Motorcycle Show in spring are built around riders in the UK and Poland and are the stronger choice for brands selling directly to those markets. For trade buyers looking for new suppliers and product lines across all segments, EICMA's two trade days cover the most ground.
EICMA is the right trip for motorcycle dealers, importers and parts buyers who want every major brand's new models and a large share of the Asian supply base in two trade days.
Who exhibits
The floor runs from vehicle makers such as Ducati, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, BMW, KTM, Triumph, Harley-Davidson, Royal Enfield and the Piaggio group brands to Chinese manufacturers such as CFMOTO, and on to a large supplier section of helmets, clothing, parts and components. China has the most entries in this year's catalogue, ahead of Italy and Taiwan, and Hall 24 is almost entirely Chinese suppliers. Pakistan, France, Germany and Spain also send sizeable groups.

EICMA 2026
Trade visitors are admitted from Tuesday afternoon this year, alongside the press, so the trade period runs a day and a half before the public arrives on Thursday. Validated trade visitors can use the EICMA Business Meeting platform to set up meetings with exhibitors before and during the show.
On the Monday before opening, the International Motorcycle Conference Milan meets at the Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci. It continues the former Ricardo Motorcycle Conference, is now run by the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers, and pairs a technical program with a small exhibition. Brands have already announced launches for the show, including a new BMW supersport for A2 license holders and a new Kawasaki crossover, and the outdoor MotoLive arena returns for the public days.
- Trade visitor registration needs a Chamber of Commerce certificate issued in 2026 or an invitation letter from a 2026 exhibitor, in Italian or English only. If your company papers are in another language, ask a supplier who exhibits for an invitation letter.
- Hold your meetings on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday. In 2025 the Thursday and Friday public days sold out, and from then on the big brand stands are crowded with riders.
- Sourcing buyers should plan a block of time for Hall 24, where most of the Chinese suppliers are grouped, and for Halls 11 and 22, which also hold large Chinese and Taiwanese groups.
- Trade registration is limited to dealers, agents, retailers, workshops, driving schools and insurers; staff from riding clubs, schools and travel agencies come in on a public-day ticket.
Exhibiting
Stands start at 16 square meters, either as bare space priced by the number of open sides or as turnkey Standard and Premium packages in 16 square meter modules, plus a compulsory registration fee that covers the catalogue listing. The organizer recommends applying by the end of February; later applications depend on the space left, and the balance is due by mid-September. A stand here is seen by trade buyers for two days and by the public for four, which suits brands that sell both to dealers and to riders.
