It has run since 2001, and the October 2026 show is the 33rd. It fills the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian alongside Shenzhen Original Design Fashion Week, so local designers' runway shows share the building with the sourcing halls.
The visitors are mostly Chinese: womenswear brands, e-commerce labels, wholesalers, buyer shops, designers and livestream sellers looking for suppliers that can work with short lead times and small first orders. The show is smaller than it was in autumn 2024, when more than 1,200 exhibitors filled 70,000 square meters; the spring 2026 show had 409 exhibitors on 40,000 square meters. The organizer has put more of its effort into pre-arranged buyer meetings, trend areas and its supply chain summit.
How it compares
- CHIC China International Fashion FairShanghai, twice a year
- Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel FabricsShenzhen
- Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics AutumnShanghai, 100K
- This show: Fashion Source ShenzhenShenzhen, twice a year
Inside Shenzhen, the nearest comparison is Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics, Messe Frankfurt's June fabric fair in the same Futian venue. A buyer who only needs fabric is well served there. Fashion Source covers more of the chain, from yarn and trims to finished garments, accessories and designer labels, which suits a brand developing a whole collection with ODM partners.
Shanghai is where the scale is. Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Autumn brings together around 3,500 exhibitors each late summer, with far more international mills than Shenzhen offers, and CHIC China International Fashion Fair is the long-running fair where Chinese and foreign labels show their collections to retailers. Buyers who want the widest choice of fabric go to Shanghai. Buyers whose production sits in the Pearl River Delta can meet many of their current and future factories in three days at Fashion Source, a short drive from Dongguan and Guangzhou.
Global Sources Fashion in Hong Kong serves overseas buyers placing export orders with Chinese manufacturers. Fashion Source points the other way, toward the domestic market: its matchmaking buyers are Chinese brands and platforms such as Eifini, Urban Revivo and SHEIN, and several of those buyers are labels that sell mainly on Tmall and Douyin.
The right trip for brands and e-commerce labels that develop womenswear, knitwear and accessories with South China factories and want to meet yarn, fabric and ODM suppliers in one building.
Who exhibits
Most exhibitors are manufacturers with their own factories, and many state their minimum orders and turnaround times openly. Dongguan Huili Textile brings linen and linen-blend yarns for knitwear, Haining Yixuanhe Garment develops leather, fur and down outerwear for brands, and Haining Xilin shows its Hazhen line of women's trousers. The floor is split by stage of the chain, with separate areas for yarn, fabric, trims, knitwear, ready-to-wear, sportswear, accessories and designer brands.

Fashion Source Shenzhen 2026
The 33rd show runs alongside SS27 Shenzhen Original Design Fashion Week and expects more than 500 exhibitors. The China Clothing Supply Chain Summit is themed "Reshaping Growth" and covers knitwear, consumer channels, AI in product development, merchandising and sustainability.
The FS knitting trend area presents the autumn/winter 2027/28 forecast under the theme "Woven Myriad", with swatches built around functional fibers and sports knits. The business matching zone has published its buyer list in advance, including Eifini, Urban Revivo, SHEIN, bebe and Dali International, each with the categories, order sizes and lead times it is sourcing for.
- Knitwear developers should start at the trend area on stand 1G01, where the 27/28 autumn/winter swatches are on show, before walking the yarn and knitting zones.
- The summit sessions on knitwear, consumer channels and AI fill the opening afternoon, so supplier meetings fit better on the second and third days.
- The organizer sends the exhibitor list and the matchmaking schedule to visitors who pre-register, so registering before the trip is the way to plan a route through the halls.
- Suppliers hoping to meet the published VIP buyers should read each buyer's brief first; several ask for monthly capacity, ODM design teams or factories in the Pearl River Delta or the Yangtze River Delta.
