gamescom

gamescom is the games industry's largest annual gathering, held at Koelnmesse in Cologne each August and run by Koelnmesse together with game, the German games industry association. It is two shows under one roof: a closed business area where publishers, developers, platform holders, distributors, investors and press meet, and an entertainment area where fans play games before release. Last year it drew 368,000 visitors from 131 countries, among them more than 36,000 trade visitors, about half from outside Germany.
