IBTTA's Annual Meeting & Exhibition puts toll-road owners and operators in the same room as the businesses that build, finance and run their systems. The audience includes public toll authorities, concessionaires, engineers and technology suppliers, with agency leaders joining discussions on investment, customer experience and workforce development. The attending organizations range from the Illinois Tollway and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission to ASFINAG and East Nippon Expressway. This is a conference with an exhibition woven into meals, breaks and a reception.
The association's membership spans 22 countries on five continents. Its annual gathering connects toll collection and roadside technology with the wider questions that agency executives face: how to fund infrastructure, explain tolling to the public, recruit staff and improve service. Committee meetings, Women in Tolling, industry awards and the IBTTA Foundation's activities give the meeting an association community as well as a commercial audience.

For suppliers whose customers are toll authorities and road concessionaires, IBTTA offers a concentrated setting for conversations that cross operations, finance and policy. Its exhibition sits alongside the people discussing the management of those facilities. That combination matters when a product needs both a technical buyer and support from customer-service, communications or executive teams.
ITS America Conference & Expo spreads the discussion across connected transportation: automated vehicles, digital infrastructure, multimodal mobility, V2X and cybersecurity. It is the more relevant comparison for a company selling to traffic-management and connected-vehicle projects beyond the tolling sector. IBTTA gives a more direct view of the business of charging for road use and serving toll customers.
Intertraffic Amsterdam is a broader international sourcing trip. Its 2026 show brought together 879 exhibitors and professionals from 136 countries across traffic management, road infrastructure, safety and parking. A distributor comparing equipment ranges or seeking international channels has more breadth there; a toll agency looking to discuss its operating model has a different reason to choose IBTTA. Within the association's own calendar, IBTTA Technology Summit is the focused alternative for a technology-led trip, while the Annual Meeting combines that work with leadership and association business.
IBTTA is the right trip for toll-agency leaders and suppliers who need to connect roadside technology with the funding, operations and customer service behind a toll facility.
Who exhibits
The exhibitor mix reaches beyond toll-lane hardware. Kapsch, Emovis and Neology sit alongside SICK, Q-Free and Perceptics, while RevSpring, Renkim, Harris & Harris and TTEC bring payment, communications and service businesses into the room. Engineering firms such as WSP and STV connect the technology discussion to infrastructure delivery. The result is useful for teams reviewing the whole tolling operation, including the roadside, the back office and the customer's interaction with the agency.
