The first show filled one hall with 127 Turkish manufacturers from 12 provinces, from İzmir and Manisa to İnegöl, Eskişehir and Kayseri, showing living and dining room sets, bedrooms, tables, chairs and sofas, beds, children's rooms, and office and garden furniture.
The audience is regional and trade-focused. Of 10,369 unique visitors, 9,179 came from İzmir province, with Manisa, Bursa, Aydın and Muğla next. International visitors made up 4.8 percent, and 61.7 percent of them came from the United Arab Emirates, with groups from Georgia and Kosovo behind them. The organizer aims the show at store owners, dealers, wholesalers, architects and contract buyers, and invites buyer delegations from the Balkans, the Middle East, North Africa and the Caucasus for arranged meetings.
The show is building toward a spring fixture for western Türkiye's furniture trade, with separate office and garden furniture sections and support from the İzmir furniture makers' chamber, the Aegean exporters' associations and the regional furniture industry groups.
How it compares
- Istanbul Furniture FairIstanbul, 133K
- This show: IZFURNEXİzmir
- MODEF Expoİnegöl, 24K
Istanbul Furniture Fair in January is the national stage for Turkish furniture, with 132,912 visitors in 2026 and around 250,000 square meters planned for its next show. A manufacturer chasing distributors in many export markets, or a buyer who wants to see the big Turkish brands side by side, starts there.
MODEF Expo takes buyers to İnegöl each autumn, across 28,000 square meters, and is the place to meet the Bursa-area factories in their home town and visit showrooms around the fair.
IZFURNEX is far smaller than either and only in its second year. It earns the trip for furniture retailers, dealers and project buyers in the Aegean and western Anatolia who want to meet producers from İzmir and the surrounding provinces, including small workshops brought in through the İzmir Chamber of Furniture Makers. For exporters, its spring slot gives a third Turkish date between the January and autumn fairs, with a buyer base drawn mostly from the region and from Gulf and Balkan delegations.
IZFURNEX is the right trip for furniture retailers, dealers and contract buyers in western Türkiye who want to meet Aegean manufacturers and small workshops in one hall.
Who exhibits
The exhibitors are Turkish producers, mostly small and mid-sized, from İzmir and Manisa to İnegöl, Eskişehir, Denizli and Kayseri. Expect living and dining room sets, bedrooms, sofas and seating, beds and bases, children's rooms, and office and garden furniture. A protocol with the İzmir Chamber of Furniture Makers brought small craft producers onto the floor, and the İşyurtları workshops of the Ministry of Justice showed dining tables, nesting tables and cabinets made in the Foça, Buca and Aliağa workshops.

IZFURNEX 2027
The second IZFURNEX keeps the format of the first: one floor of Turkish manufacturers, separate sections for office and garden furniture, and an area aimed at contract furniture firms looking for architects, interior architects and project companies.
The buyer program grows. Delegations are invited from the Balkans, the Gulf, North Africa, the Caucasus and Western Europe, and this year's promotion list adds markets such as Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, the United States and Canada, with one-to-one meetings arranged between exhibitors and the visiting buyers.
- The fourth day, a Saturday, drew by far the biggest crowd last year with 3,172 unique visitors, close to twice the turnout of any of the first three days. Trade buyers who want time at the stands should come early in the week.
- Foreign buyers from the target markets can ask the organizer for help with hotel and airport transfers and for meetings with exhibitors arranged in advance.
- Look for the office and garden furniture sections if you buy for offices, hotels or outdoor projects; they are set apart from the home furniture stands.
Exhibiting
Stands are booked directly with EFR Fuarcılık, which quotes by hall, position and size; a signed contract and a down payment secure the space, and hall and position are allocated in order of application, so early applicants get main aisle and entrance spots. The show pays off for Aegean and western Anatolian producers looking for new dealers and retailers in the region and first contacts with Gulf and Balkan buyers.
