It is the Arizona stop on Build Expo USA's circuit of city shows, run by the trade-show arm of Marketplace Events, and it came back for its second December in 2026 after the 2025 show at the same venue.

The floor is built for people who buy for construction work in the Phoenix metro: general contractors, subcontractors, home builders and remodelers, along with architects, engineers, developers, property and facility managers and municipal staff. Over 140 exhibitors are expected, covering building products such as glazing, bath systems, cabinets and surfaces, plus equipment rental, power, lending, payroll and software.

Entry is free for the trade, and so are the 34 keynotes and seminars. The program leans toward running a contracting business: cash flow, pricing and sales, AI tools for estimating and office work, and how to win public and federal work.

How it compares

  1. World of ConcreteLas Vegas, 47K
  2. Southwest Builders ShowScottsdale
  3. This show: Phoenix Build ExpoPhoenix

Arizona's own residential event is the Southwest Builders Show, a one-day show at WestWorld of Scottsdale each November. A supplier whose customers are production home builders and their trade partners will find that audience concentrated there. Phoenix Build Expo casts a wider net, adding commercial contractors, design professionals, property managers and public agencies, and it gives visitors two days and a class program.

The national alternatives sit a short flight away in Las Vegas. World of Concrete drew about 1,300 exhibitors and 47,400 visitors in 2026 and is the trip for concrete, masonry and heavy equipment buyers. The International Builders' Show, with about 1,650 exhibitors and 75,000 visitors in 2026, is where residential manufacturers launch products to a national audience. Both reward a buyer comparing many brands in one category, while Phoenix Build Expo is about meeting the suppliers who serve Phoenix job sites.

Within the Build Expo circuit, Los Angeles Build Expo runs a month earlier with around 250 exhibitors expected and a similar mix. Suppliers covering the Southwest often take both; Phoenix is the stop when the customers are in Maricopa County.

Phoenix Build Expo is the right trip for Phoenix-area contractors, builders and property managers who want to meet regional suppliers of building products, rental equipment and business services in two days, with free classes on running a construction company.

Who exhibits

The exhibitor list mixes building products with the services a contractor buys to run the business. PRL Glass Systems, Best Bath, QDI Surfaces, Cabinet Corp and Kingmore Imports cover glazing, bath, surfaces and stone. National Construction Rentals and Central Power Systems & Services bring site equipment and power. Lima One Capital, Center Street Lending, BILL and FrankCrum handle lending, payments and payroll, and Champion Homes represents factory-built housing. Most stands are staffed by the regional sales teams that call on Phoenix contractors.

Phoenix Build Expo 2026

The 2026 program has 34 keynotes and seminars, and the keynote area is weighted toward the money side of contracting. Scott Beebe of Business On Purpose gives a cash-flow keynote on each day, Shawn Owens of the International Association of U.S. Government Contractors explains how agencies buy, and Tom Woodcock covers bidding and association networking.

Several classes deal with public work, from 8(a), joint ventures and GSA schedules to working with the city, and about half a dozen sessions show AI tools for estimating and office tasks. National Construction Rentals and PRL Glass Systems are the Phoenix sponsors.

  • If you are chasing public or federal contracts, plan around the government sessions: the agency-buying keynote is on the first day, with separate classes on 8(a) and GSA schedules, direct-award contracting and working with the city.
  • Owners who want the cash-flow content can choose a day, since Scott Beebe gives a different keynote on each day of the show.
  • Build Expo leaves hotel booking to visitors and warns of a scam offering official room blocks, so book downtown rooms directly with the hotel.
  • Registering ahead lets the badge be mailed to your office. Registration also collects your company details, and exhibitors receive attendee contact information, so give a work address where you want suppliers to reach you.

Exhibiting

Booths come in standard sizes from 10x10 to 20x30 and are booked through Build Expo's regional sales team, which assigns accounts by company name. Sponsorship runs from bronze to platinum and bundles ads in Construction Monthly magazine, email features, entrance signage and branded lanyards; lead scanning is a paid add-on. The show pays off for suppliers who sell to small and mid-sized contractors and property owners in the Phoenix metro, particularly those already working other Build Expo cities.
