It brings the whole value chain into Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi: polymers and masterbatches, injection and extrusion machinery, moulds and dies, recycling lines, testing equipment and finished plastic products.

The 2026 show had 1,844 exhibitors, 480 of them from outside India, and recorded a footfall of 555,000 over six days. That compares with about 1,800 exhibitors and 360,000 visitors in 2023. Visitors came from 88 countries, but the core of the crowd is Indian processors, converters, moulders, brand owners and packaging buyers, along with the purchase and production teams who place the orders.

The show has run since 1990 and used to come every three years. The Foundation has shortened the gap, and the next show follows two years after 2026, with more room for startups, recycling and factory automation.

How it compares

  1. This show: PlastindiaNew Delhi
  2. PlastasiaNew Delhi, 50K
  3. KDüsseldorf, every three years

K in Düsseldorf is the global benchmark, with 3,246 exhibitors from 65 countries in 2025. A team choosing between the world's machinery and material suppliers for a new plant will learn more there. PLASTINDIA answers a different question: who supplies, services and competes in the Indian market, including the domestic machine builders and converters that rarely exhibit in Germany.

CHINAPLAS - Plastics & Rubber Trade Fair is larger again, with 5,104 exhibitors in 2026, and is the right trip for sourcing from Chinese machinery and resin suppliers.

Within India, PLASTIVISION India in Mumbai is the closest rival, with 1,238 exhibitors in 2023 and a strong base among processors in western India. Plastasia in New Delhi is a smaller show of 662 exhibitors in 2025 that fills the years between PLASTINDIA dates, and Plastech India Expo in Coimbatore serves the processing cluster in the south. Companies that only care about recycling and circular materials get a tighter view at Global Conclave on Plastics Recycling & Sustainability - GCPRS, which had 225 exhibitors in 2026.

PLASTINDIA is the choice when you need the entire Indian supply base at once, from polymer producers to mould makers and finished-goods manufacturers.

The one trip that puts India's polymer producers, machine builders, mould makers and converters in front of you at the same time, for anyone buying from, selling into or competing in the Indian plastics market.

Who exhibits

The largest stands belong to Indian polymer producers and processors. Reliance Industries, HPCL-Mittal Energy and Indorama Ventures Dhunseri represent the resin side, Supreme Industries and Cello the finished-product makers, and Lohia Corp and Rajoo Engineers the machine builders. Alok Masterbatches and Cosmo Films show the depth of the compounding and film segment. About a quarter of the 2026 exhibitors came from abroad, and the government's CIPET institute runs its own pavilion on skills and research.

Plastindia 2028

PLASTINDIA 2028 is the 13th show and follows two years after the 2026 show, a shorter gap than the three years between earlier shows. It returns to Bharat Mandapam under the theme Powering Viksit Bharat, runs over five days, and is led by National Executive Council chairman Kailash B. Murarka.

The Foundation is adding a Startup Pavilion, a Job Fair and a Consultant Clinic, and is asking exhibitors to show AI-based predictive maintenance, automated quality control and process optimization. Space booking has opened; visitor registration and the conference program follow later.

  • The Foundation sells the printed 2026 show directory by email request. It is the quickest way to build a target list of Indian suppliers long before the 2028 floor plan appears.
  • Overseas buyers sourcing finished plastic products from India should contact PLEXCONCIL, the plastics export council, which ran buyer-seller meetings for more than 300 foreign buyers at the 2023 show.
  • The display halls cover only a fraction of the Bharat Mandapam campus, so group your meetings by hall and allow time to walk between them.
