bauma is the larger choice for an international machinery search. Its Munich show spans construction machinery, building-material production, mining and vehicles. An OEM looking for distributors across several countries, or a buyer comparing specialized mining systems, gains a much broader international field there. BAUMAG is more concentrated on the Swiss construction market, with national distributors and the practical equipment used by local contractors.

Suisse Public in Bern changes the buyer profile. Its roughly 300 exhibitors in 2026 served public-sector needs, including municipal vehicles, road maintenance, fire and rescue, building upkeep and waste handling. It is the more direct comparison for a municipal fleet manager or a supplier selling into public works. BAUMAG gives a contractor more overlap between earthmoving, formwork, lifting, site tools and construction processes.

The distinction is useful for suppliers as well as visitors: BAUMAG favors conversations with Swiss building businesses and their equipment partners; bauma expands the search to global manufacturers and markets; Suisse Public puts municipal operations at the center. A Swiss dealer demonstrating machines together with local service support has a clear reason to choose Luzern.

BAUMAG is the right trip for Swiss contractors comparing machinery, formwork and site equipment with the suppliers who serve their projects.

Who exhibits

Avesco and Avesco Rent share a stand, while JCB Suisse, Menzi Muck and Wacker Neuson bring the machinery side into view. Doka Schweiz and PERI give formwork buyers a substantial reason to attend. CHC Navigation and cadwork add positioning and digital construction tools; Suva and CAMPUS SURSEE connect the purchasing conversation with safe operation and training. The result is a mix of equipment, site systems and expertise aimed at working construction businesses.

BAUMAG 2027

BAUMAG 2027 compresses the show into three days, dropping Sunday after most exhibitors favored the change. Exhibition space is already sold out. The machinery and site-equipment offer is joined by energy storage, excavator controls and automated task management. Suva brings an experiential exhibit on construction-machine safety, while CAMPUS SURSEE presents training for crane, forklift and machinery operators. These additions keep the focus on how equipment is operated and managed as well as what contractors buy.

• For formwork comparisons, concentrate on Hall 1, where Doka Schweiz and PERI are listed alongside Wacker Neuson and Suva.
• Include the upper floor of Hall 3 for CHC Navigation and cadwork; the digital construction suppliers are spread beyond the main machinery stands.
• Treat the outdoor area as part of the machinery visit: Condecta, KAISER and Bau Power Group are listed there.

Exhibiting

The 2027 floor is sold out. Space rental excludes stand construction, with separate Innovation and Leader packages and an obligatory communication package. The outdoor gravel area depends on sufficient registrations. The audience suits distributors and site-equipment suppliers selling to Swiss contractors, including businesses whose offer combines machinery with local service and training.
