Its audience spans interior designers, architects, purchasing agents, hotel owners and developers. In 2025, total attendance reached 16,104, with 53 countries represented. That international mix gives the fair relevance beyond the Northeast while keeping hospitality design at the center of the conversation.

Furniture, lighting, textiles, surfaces and artwork are the core sourcing categories. The distinguishing feature is the Designed Spaces program: hospitality firms build lounges and gathering places with products from several vendors, letting visitors assess a room as well as an individual sample. Dine & Design extends that approach to restaurant and bar interiors through a working café. Conference sessions and the Gold Key Awards connect product discovery with the designers and projects shaping boutique hospitality.

How it compares

  1. HD ExpoLas Vegas, 10K
  2. The Hospitality ShowMiami Beach, 4,800
  3. This show: Boutique Design New York (BDNY)New York City

HD Expo is the closest alternative for hospitality interiors. The annual Las Vegas show brings hotel, restaurant and resort designers together with suppliers in the spring. It is a useful choice for a sourcing cycle built around that season or a team whose projects and supplier relationships bring them west. BDNY puts a similar product conversation into New York, with a particular emphasis on boutique concepts and the connection between individual products and complete hospitality spaces.

The Hospitality Show serves a wider hotel business agenda. Its November gathering in Miami Beach covers operations, commercial strategy, technology, food and beverage, and design. Owners and operators reviewing systems alongside guest experience have more reasons to attend that event. For an interior designer or purchasing team selecting furnishings, decorative lighting, textiles and finishes, BDNY concentrates the visit around those decisions.

The choice turns on the project brief. A hotel operating team can compare business solutions at The Hospitality Show; a design team can compare hospitality interiors at either BDNY or HD Expo. BDNY is especially relevant when restaurant and bar front-of-house design belongs in the same sourcing trip as guest rooms and public areas.

BDNY suits hospitality designers and purchasing teams who need to see boutique hotel and restaurant products working together in complete interiors.

Who exhibits

The floor combines specialist design suppliers with established hospitality brands. Country Casual Teak and Shademaker cover outdoor settings, while 2nd Ave Lighting and Legrand bring lighting and electrical products into the mix. Dometic Corp. supplies hospitality minibars and safes. Italian Trade Agency entries add an organized international presence. The range matters for a hotel team buying across guest rooms, terraces and public areas: decorative choices sit alongside products with practical operating requirements.

Boutique Design New York (BDNY) 2026

BDNY 2026 brings new full-scale concepts from IHG with Crème, Ennismore with Avenue ID, and Preen. RELISH by //3877 anchors the Dine & Design pavilion as a working café with a supper-club atmosphere. Beth Bloom Designs creates the mainstage setting. These spaces put furnishings, materials and lighting into hospitality environments, giving visitors a way to judge how products contribute to the whole room. The front-of-house pavilion also brings restaurant and bar specification into a dedicated part of the fair.

  • For restaurant and bar projects, use the Dine & Design directory filter and spend time in RELISH, where sponsor products form part of an operating café.
  • Compare the IHG, Ennismore and Preen Designed Spaces as complete hospitality concepts before returning to the individual suppliers whose products suit your project.
  • The Women Leaders breakfast is in the Javits River Pavilion; the Platinum Circle and Gold Key galas take the hospitality design community to separate Cipriani venues.
