DPRTE 2027 Expo
DPRTE brings Ministry of Defence commercial teams, prime contractors and specialist suppliers together around the practical business of buying and delivering UK defence capability.

Its Meet the Buyer program has distinct hubs for prime contractors, run with Make UK, and MOD and delivery partners, run with ADS. That makes it especially relevant to smaller manufacturers and service businesses trying to understand where they fit in the supply chain.
The exhibition reaches well beyond weapons and platforms. Logistics, electronic components, precision engineering, modular buildings and estate services sit alongside defence technology. Seven Knowledge Transfer Zones connect that mix to acquisition reform, industrial growth, infrastructure and international collaboration. The 2027 program extends into critical national infrastructure and gives suppliers a Capability Pitch Theatre. DPRTE's emphasis is on the commercial machinery behind defence delivery: who buys, through which organizations, and what suppliers need to offer.
How it compares

- DSEI UKLondon, every two years
DSEI UK is the broader international defence equipment marketplace. Its aerospace, land, naval, space and technology zones suit businesses presenting military capability to governments and armed forces across several countries. The London show also has a manufacturing zone and a dockside setting for naval exhibits. For an exporter selling a platform or system, that audience and presentation format can matter more than a concentrated discussion of UK procurement routes.
Security & Policing serves a different buying community at Farnborough. Hosted by the Home Office's Joint Security & Resilience Centre, it brings together suppliers with government, law enforcement and national security decision-makers. Home Office approval governs attendance. Businesses working on policing, border security or civil resilience should weigh that audience against DPRTE's MOD and prime-contractor focus.
DPRTE is the closer fit when the commercial objective is entry into the UK defence supply chain, an introduction to a prime contractor or a clearer understanding of defence-estate requirements. Its separate buyer hubs and specialist procurement content give an electronics subcontractor, facilities provider or construction business a different reason to attend from an equipment exporter. The new infrastructure coverage also creates overlap for suppliers whose products serve both defence and civilian essential services.
DPRTE fits suppliers who need to turn a capability into a place in the UK defence supply chain.
Who exhibits
The exhibitor mix shows how much defence procurement happens outside front-line equipment. GXO brings logistics, Astute Electronics component sourcing and supply chain support, and Jaltek electronic design and manufacturing. Amey Defence Services, AtkinsRéalis and modular-building suppliers address the estate and support infrastructure. BAE Systems and QinetiQ connect the specialist suppliers to larger defence businesses. A visitor can move between manufacturing, digital capability and construction requirements. Each has a distinct buying route.

DPRTE 2027 Expo
DPRTE 2027 adds a Critical National Infrastructure Zone covering the links between defence and energy, communications, space and transport. New bookable Meeting Hubs provide dedicated space for discussions, while the Capability Pitch Theatre gives supplier products and technologies an exhibition-floor platform. Admiral Sir Keith Blount is an announced keynote speaker. The Keynote Arena follows two themes: UK Supply Chain Command and NATO & European Defence Market Capability. These additions widen the procurement discussion from individual programs to the infrastructure and partnerships that sustain them.
- Choose the Make UK Prime Contractor Hub for subcontracting discussions and the ADS MOD & Delivery Partners Hub for the government buying route; the two serve different commercial objectives.
- For estate-related work, pair the Infrastructure content with the new Critical National Infrastructure Zone to compare military facilities needs with energy, communications and transport requirements.
- The ticketed Networking Drinks Reception in the Inspire Suite brings MOD representatives and prime contractors into an informal setting; treat it as a separate part of your defence procurement visit.
Exhibiting
Shell-scheme packages include lighting, a power outlet, furniture, directory exposure and lead-scanning access. The Show Ready format provides a branded backlit wall and counter, while larger display areas suit vehicles or modular buildings. Space-only exhibitors need approved designs, safety documents and insurance, and must order power separately. This mix favors suppliers with a clear MOD or prime-contractor application, including manufacturers, estate contractors and support-service businesses.
