In 2025, the fair drew 24,002 visitors and 210 exhibitors. Horse ownership is the common thread, connecting saddlery and riding apparel with feed, hoof care, stable equipment, trailers and breeding associations.

The outdoor setting gives the show a different rhythm from a purely indoor shopping fair. Machinery and transport sit alongside demonstrations, while breed presentations put horses themselves at the center of the visit. Professionals share the grounds with leisure riders and families, so suppliers can discuss equipment with stable operators and sell directly to horse owners. For 2027, the organizer is concentrating the fair into three days and expanding practical content on health, training, feeding and care. That makes Offenburg particularly relevant to businesses serving everyday horse keeping across this border region.

How it compares

  1. EQUITANAEssen, every two years
  2. This show: eurochevalOffenburg, every two years
  3. PASSION PFERDHannover, 50K

EQUITANA in Essen is the larger international comparison. Its 2025 show brought together 600 exhibiting companies and 109,258 visitors from 56 countries. The supplier range extends from riding gear to turnkey equestrian centers, with a substantial education and show program. A stable operator weighing a major investment or a brand seeking a wider international audience has more ground to cover there. Its biennial March slot also puts it earlier in the equestrian buying year.

PASSION PFERD in Hannover offers another calendar and catchment. Around 50,000 visitors attended in 2025, with more than 470 exhibitors. Equipment, feeding and stable technology sit alongside workshops, masterclasses and the Night of the Horses. The annual December fair fits northern German customer development and shopping before Christmas, while Offenburg connects suppliers with the southwestern market and neighboring France and Switzerland in summer.

eurocheval earns its place through that geography and the combination of horses, outdoor demonstrations and retail products. Breeders can present animals as well as their services; equipment businesses meet owners managing real stables and yards. The buying trip is most compelling when those customers define the commercial opportunity.

eurocheval is the right trip for breeders, horse owners and suppliers whose market spans southwestern Germany, France and Switzerland.

Who exhibits

The 2025 exhibitors show how closely shopping and horse keeping meet in Offenburg. Böckmann Fahrzeugwerke brought horse trailers, Deuber & Partner presented saddles across several riding styles, and St. Hippolyt covered feeding and nutrition. PATURA added fencing, pasture and stable equipment, while Uelzener Versicherungen addressed horse insurance. Breeding associations, training providers and equestrian artists widened the mix beyond product retail. For a visitor, the useful combination is advice about the animal alongside equipment for the rider, the yard and transport.

eurocheval 2027

The main change for eurocheval 2027 is a tighter three-day format, shaped with input from an industry advisory board. A restructured exhibition plan and expanded demonstrations and specialist talks put horse and rider health, appropriate training, feeding and care at the center of the program. The evening GALA shows remain part of the fair, while a guest country will add an international focus. Breeder packages combine an information stand with publicly accessible horse stalls in the Ortenauhalle.

  • Use the Ortenauhalle breeder presentations to connect questions about breed and training with the horses on display.
  • Give outdoor demonstrations time alongside product shopping: riding rings and the outdoor arena are central to the fair’s practical program.
  • Treat the evening GALA shows as a separate part of the visit if seeing the performance program is a priority.

Exhibiting

The stand offer separates goods, capital equipment and outdoor displays, with additional media, power and waste charges. The breeder package combines an information stand and public horse stalls in the Ortenauhalle, making it a practical option for breed associations and stud farms. Horse registration is separate from participation in the show program; animal presentations in the daily riding rings require agreement with the organizer.
