Shanghai 2025 brought together 353 exhibiting companies and 5,651 qualified buyers from 85 countries. Hong Kong 2026 welcomed 5,447 verified attendees, including 3,655 qualified buyers. The buying audience extends well beyond theme parks to resorts, family entertainment centers, museums, zoos and aquariums.

The show moves between Asian host cities, taking its supplier floor and education program into a different local market each year. Osaka is the next stop. The range of products makes the show useful for an operator planning a new attraction or reviewing several parts of an existing business: ride systems, immersive experiences, aquatic design and the technology that handles guests. Its EDUTours and receptions also place industry discussions inside operating attractions, as recent visits to Shanghai Disneyland, LEGOLAND Shanghai and Hong Kong attractions illustrate.

How it compares

  1. This show: IAAPA Expo AsiaOsaka, 7,000
  2. IAAPA Expo EuropeLondon, 17K
  3. IAAPA ExpoOrlando, 44K

For a supplier choosing where to meet customers, the main distinction is regional buying access. IAAPA Expo in Orlando brings the attractions industry together across a broad supplier floor and education program. It suits a company with customers in several continents, or an operator looking across many types of attraction investment. The Asian show is a more focused trip when APAC operators, distributors and development projects drive the sales plan.

IAAPA Expo Europe serves a different network of park operators and leisure businesses. A manufacturer with a European installed base can use that show to discuss replacement projects, service and new attractions closer to those customers. Asia places the same kinds of purchasing conversations in the APAC market, with local operators alongside international manufacturers.

IAAPA Expo Middle East in Abu Dhabi belongs in the comparison for suppliers pursuing Middle Eastern attractions projects. The choice should follow the customers and developments a business wants to reach. Osaka adds the Japanese host market to the wider Asian network; its value is the combination of international supplier access and regional operator conversations. For teams working mainly on European or North American projects, the sister shows align more closely with that customer base.

IAAPA Expo Asia is the right trip for attraction operators buying across several product categories and suppliers whose next customers are in Asia-Pacific.

Who exhibits

The Osaka exhibitor mix reaches from attraction hardware to the systems used to operate a venue. abc rides switzerland, Alterface, Brogent Technologies and DOF Robotics sit within a supplier field that also includes accesso, Axess and Embed. Water Technology, Inc. brings aquatic design into the mix. Ride parts, safety consulting, arcade games, virtual reality and water-play equipment all have their own product categories, giving park and indoor-entertainment buyers more than a ride-only sourcing visit.

IAAPA Expo Asia 2027

IAAPA Expo Asia 2027 moves the regional gathering to INTEX Osaka after Hong Kong. The organizer plans at least 20 education events alongside a supplier floor spanning rides, play equipment, aquatic attractions and guest technology. The Osaka stand program offers shell scheme and space-only formats, while the sponsorship program includes education, a leadership breakfast, an opening reception and tour experiences. The host city changes the local business setting while retaining the show’s combination of attractions procurement and operator education.

  • Compare Alterface’s interactive attractions with Brogent Technologies’ animatronics and software categories when shortlisting attraction technology: both are on the Osaka supplier list.
  • For aquatic investment, include Water Technology, Inc. alongside the directory’s wet-rides, filtration and water-play categories so the buying conversation covers the facility as well as its attractions.

Exhibiting

A stand suits suppliers selling into APAC parks, resorts and indoor entertainment businesses. Shell scheme provides a furnished booth; space-only exhibitors supply their own walls and floor covering. Returning exhibitors receive priority selection, with membership and exhibiting history affecting seniority. The stand contract follows staged payments, and sponsorship has a separate membership requirement and early-bird schedule.
