The show brings nonwoven producers, machinery builders, raw material suppliers and converters into one Geneva meeting. Hygiene remains a major commercial anchor, but the conversations extend into medical products, filtration, automotive interiors, construction and geotextiles. The attraction for a technical buyer is the ability to discuss the material, the production process and the finished application within the same specialist market.

Its international character reaches beyond European sourcing. The 2023 participant mix included substantial Asian and Middle Eastern representation alongside its Western European base. EDANA owns the show and Palexpo organizes it, giving INDEX a close connection to the industry association as well as a permanent Geneva venue.

The direction of travel is increasingly about performance with fewer resources. The 2026 show brought recyclable single-material constructions, finer fibers, lighter products and protective textiles without PFAS into the discussion. INDEX therefore matters to teams reconciling material specifications with production economics and environmental requirements.

How it compares

  1. IDEAKansas City, every three years
  2. Techtextil FrankfurtFrankfurt am Main, every two years
  3. This show: INDEX™Le Grand Saconnex, every three years

IDEA is the closest comparison for a company working across the nonwovens supply chain. Its North American setting makes it a natural choice for developing customers and production partnerships in that market. INDEX is the European meeting point for the same broad mix of materials, converting equipment and applications, with a substantial international supplier presence. A global supplier can justify both when the customer regions warrant separate commercial attention.

Techtextil Frankfurt opens a wider technical textile conversation. Its scope crosses functional apparel, industrial textiles and other application markets, with Texprocess adding processing technology nearby. Product developers looking beyond nonwovens into alternative textile constructions have more breadth there. INDEX gives nonwoven roll goods, chemistry and production equipment a more concentrated setting, particularly for hygiene, medical and wipes sourcing.

Shanghai International Nonwovens Exhibition (SINCE) is a direct option for building relationships in China and the wider Asian supply chain. It covers raw materials, machinery, roll goods and converted products in Shanghai. INDEX suits teams that need an international comparison of suppliers around a European trip; SINCE is more closely aligned with an Asian commercial agenda. The choice depends on where the next customer, factory or material partnership needs to be.

INDEX is the right trip for teams choosing nonwoven materials and production technology together, with European customers and global suppliers in the same conversation.

Who exhibits

The mix reaches from nonwoven machinery to fibers, chemistry and converted products. ANDRITZ’s nonwoven and textile businesses and A. Celli Nonwovens sit alongside companies such as AUTEFA Solutions and Avgol in the 2026 directory. The awards brought Lenzing, Bostik, Corman, Confitex and ZUIKO into focus across materials, finished products and converting machinery. That breadth lets a visitor connect a product requirement with the manufacturing choices and components behind it.

INDEX™ 2029

INDEX returns in 2029 following a 2026 show centered on circular manufacturing and technical performance. Recyclable material designs and PFAS-free protective textiles featured alongside machinery developments. A new Women’s Networking Breakfast and the immersive Nonwovens: In Every Layer of Life experience expanded the program beyond supplier stands. The next Geneva gathering gives materials and production teams a common point to revisit how these developments have moved into commercial use.

  • Use the directory’s application filters as well as its supplier categories: hygiene, medical, filtration and geotextiles cut across materials, components and machinery.
  • For line investment, compare web formation and bonding suppliers with converting and inspection specialists; INDEX brings these different production stages into the same supplier market.

Exhibiting

INDEX suits suppliers whose proposition connects a material or machine to a specific nonwoven application. The historical exhibitor terms distinguish EDANA members from other exhibitors and add registration, co-exhibitor and waste charges. Stand space is therefore only part of the participation budget; the next booking cycle is the point to establish the applicable package.
