Its commercial focus is regional, even when the brands themselves operate worldwide. Product sourcing sits alongside executive presentations and panels, with relationship building extending beyond the exhibit floor.

The association behind the Summit now operates as Travel Retail Alliance of the Americas, formerly IAADFS. That change reflects a wider membership spanning airport concessionaires, food and beverage operators, cruise and ferry businesses and border retailers alongside traditional duty free stores. For suppliers, the Summit offers a place to discuss how products reach travelers through those channels and which distribution partners serve them. It suits a focused Americas sales agenda more than a general search for consumer retail buyers.

How it compares

  1. This show: Summit of the AmericasWest Palm Beach, 4,600
  2. TFWA World Exhibition & ConferenceCannes, 8,011

TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes is the broader international comparison. Its 2026 show drew 8,011 visitors and 482 exhibiting companies, with brands, retailers, transport operators and distributors meeting across the global travel retail market. A supplier building relationships in several regions can cover a wider network there; a team concentrating on the Americas and Caribbean has a more specific brief at the Summit.

For an Asia Pacific expansion, TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore puts the regional retail and distribution network at the center. The 2026 event welcomed 2,814 visitors and 200 exhibitors, and its category Worlds brought beauty, fashion, wines and spirits, confectionery and innovation concepts into distinct areas. That geography matters more than the overlap in product categories.

The choice turns on the territory and channel a company wants to develop. Cannes supports a global account program, Singapore supports Asia Pacific distribution, and the Summit brings the Americas travel retail conversation into a regional association setting. A brand supplying airport, cruise or border retail should weigh that concentration alongside its need for a larger international showcase.

The Summit is the right trip for brands and distributors building duty free and travel retail business in the Americas and Caribbean.

Who exhibits

The 2026 mix connected product brands with the distributors that take them into travel retail. Casa Maestri and Imperial Brands represented liquor and tobacco, Mondelez International appeared in confectionery, and Baggallini added accessories. Beauty suppliers included b.tan & b.fresh. This assortment lets a buyer compare retail products and routes to market within the travel retail channel.

Summit of the Americas 2027

The 2027 Summit returns to Palm Beach County Convention Center after the 2026 gathering at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando. It will be the Summit's next gathering under the Travel Retail Alliance of the Americas identity. The change places the event within an association that now explicitly spans food and beverage, airport concessions, cruises and border retail as well as duty free product suppliers and store operators.

  • A downtown West Palm Beach stay puts business dinners near the convention center's surrounding restaurants and the city's commercial district.
  • Brightline and Tri-Rail provide options for combining the Summit with other South Florida appointments; both stations serve the downtown convention center area.

Exhibiting

The Summit suits suppliers with an Americas travel retail distribution agenda. In 2026, space rental included freight handling through Fern, cleaning, buyer lists and an allocation of registrations; stand structures, furniture and electricity remained separate. Private meeting rooms provided another format for product discussions. Those inclusions explain the previous setup, while the move to West Palm Beach brings a different venue for 2027.
