SIA welcomed 437,402 visitors and 1,146 exhibitors in 2026, drawing professionals alongside families and consumers. Its four sectors connect livestock and genetics, crops and gardening, regional food, and agricultural services and careers. The Concours Général Agricole gives that mix a distinctive center of gravity: breeders compete in the rings while producers seek medals for French products and wines.
This is a national agricultural showcase with an international dimension, where regions, research institutes, ministries and trade organizations share the floor with farmers and businesses. Food tasting and animal presentations are central to its public appeal. For professionals, the direction is toward a more integrated experience: SIA’PRO becomes a pathway through the main show in 2027, joining technology, careers, conferences and networking to the agricultural sectors already present.
How it compares

- SPACERennes, 100K
- Sommet de l’ÉlevageCournon-d'Auvergne, 120K
SIA makes particular sense when a project needs contact with both the agricultural sector and the people who buy its food. A regional producer, breeding organization or institution can explain its work to consumers while meeting industry partners. That combination distinguishes Paris from a concentrated equipment or livestock purchasing trip; the food and public-facing parts of the show are a substantial reason to attend.
Sommet de l’Élevage in Clermont-Ferrand focuses more tightly on livestock professionals, with a particular emphasis on cattle, sheep, equine production and genetics for mountainous and difficult areas. Its autumn place in the calendar gives breeders another setting for specialist conversations and animal competitions. Choose Sommet when the livestock operation is the center of the brief; choose SIA when consumer visibility, regional products and institutional relationships matter alongside it.
SPACE in Rennes is another focused alternative for animal farming. It brought together 100,107 visitors and 1,019 exhibitors in 2026, with a third of exhibitors coming from abroad. Its September gathering suits a business trip centered on livestock suppliers and practical farming solutions. SIA offers the broader Paris meeting point, with its regional food sectors and the Concours Général Agricole surrounding the professional pathway.
SIA is the right trip for agricultural businesses and institutions that need to meet the farming sector and its consumers in the same place.
Who exhibits
The mix extends well beyond farm machinery: breeding bodies, food producers, regional organizations, banks, research institutes and technology businesses all have a place. In 2026, the professional visitor guide included Weenat and Mycophyto in Agri’Tech, BIORET AGRI among livestock equipment suppliers, and INRAE among research organizations. These names illustrate the range of conversations, from digital farming and biological solutions to animal housing and public research. Regional food pavilions add producers whose products can be tasted as well as discussed.

Paris International Agricultural Show 2027
SIA 2027 integrates SIA’PRO into the main show as a professional pathway, with a Forum combining conferences, an agora, networking, a hackathon and rotating stands. Serbia is the country of honor, and the Ferrandaise breed takes the mascot spotlight through breeders Nicolas and Samuel Verdier. The hall layout also changes: dogs, cats and the garden move to Hall 7.3, while French and overseas products spread across Halls 4, 7.1 and 7.2. The educational farm returns beside the institutional exhibitors.
- For agricultural services and institutional conversations, concentrate on Halls 5.1 and 5.2, the hub of the professional visitor pathway.
- Separate the food and crop parts of a Hall 4 visit: French and overseas products now share that hall with the crop sector, while the garden moves to Hall 7.3.
- Match the animal visit to the species: farm livestock is in Hall 1, horses and donkeys in Hall 6, and dogs and cats in Hall 7.3.
Exhibiting
The four-sector structure favors producers, breeding organizations and institutions that can explain their work to a public audience while maintaining a professional presence. The new rotating stand offering within the Forum adds a format for the integrated SIA’PRO pathway. A regional food demonstration and a technology discussion serve different audiences here; the stand concept should follow the relevant sector.
