In 2026 it returns to Guangzhou, where it started in 2015, after six years in Shenzhen, and moves into the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Pazhou for its 10th show.

The show grew steadily in Shenzhen. Last year about 350 exhibitors showed more than 2,000 brands on 53,000 square meters, and 89,872 people came over three days, a mix of trade buyers and pet owners. Buyers from more than 30 countries attended, many of them from Southeast Asia. The organizer is using the move to lean on the manufacturing belt that runs through Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan and Shenzhen, and on channel partners invited from Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.

How it compares

  1. Pet Fair South-East AsiaBangkok
  2. China International Pet Show (CIPS)Guangzhou
  3. This show: Pet Fair South ChinaGuangzhou, 90K

The closest comparison is China International Pet Show (CIPS), held in the same Guangzhou complex in mid-November, four weeks earlier. CIPS is the export-minded show, expecting 80,000 professionals from more than 120 countries in 2026, and it covers aquatics as well as pets. A buyer sourcing from Chinese factories for overseas markets will usually get more from CIPS. Pet Fair South China is smaller and more domestic: it serves the distributors, retailers and service businesses of Guangdong and the wider south, and it falls in the year-end ordering window.

Within its own network, Pet Fair Asia in Shanghai each August is the flagship, with about 2,600 exhibitors in 2026, and it is the better trip for anyone who wants the national market, international brands and the supply chain under one roof. Pet Fair Beijing opens the year in March for northern China, and Pet Fair South-East Asia in Bangkok each October, with 447 exhibitors in 2025, is the network's show for buyers working ASEAN markets directly.

Pet Fair South China earns the trip for companies that sell through South China's shops, clinics and distributors, and for brands that want to book orders for the new year after seeing what launched in Shanghai.

Pet Fair South China is the year-end trip for brands and distributors working the Guangdong and Greater Bay Area pet trade who want to meet the southern channel and write orders for the new year.

Who exhibits

Most exhibitors are Chinese brands and manufacturers in pet food, supplies, health care and grooming, and the fastest-growing part of the floor is smart products: AI-enabled wearables, travel gear and pet social products drew the most attention in 2025. Start Up and Genius Hub areas group new brands and tech products, and the Discovery zone gathers bestsellers and launches in one place. Many brands also sell to the pet owners who make up a large share of the crowd.

Pet Fair South China 2026

This year's show moves from Shenzhen back to Guangzhou for its 10th anniversary and runs in the Pazhou exhibition complex. The organizer is expanding the South China Purchasing Festival, with subsidized order incentives and prizes to get buyers placing year-end orders on the floor, and is hosting a Flower City Night gala dinner for the anniversary.

Forums cover cross-border export, distribution channels (with distributors telling their year), pet shop operations and a grooming stage with international masters. Channel partners and trade groups from Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore are invited, and the public side adds a Cantonese-themed Pet Fashion Week and a lion dance pet parade.

  • Buyers based outside mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan with purchasing authority should apply to the International Buyer Club early: members get two hotel nights, guided booth tours, one-on-one meetings with chosen exhibitors and the VIP Lounge.
  • If you sell to pet shops, the Channel Decoding conference and the Store Business sessions are where South China distributors and store operators share what sells in their region, which makes them the quickest way into the local channel.
  • Ask about the South China Purchasing Festival on arrival: the organizer and exhibiting brands put up order incentives and prizes for buyers who place orders at the show, so it pays to plan year-end purchases before you go.
