A selection committee admits exhibitors on the creativity of their collections, their ability to bring new development every season and their financial reliability, so the floor leans toward mills, tanneries and trim makers that supply designer, premium and luxury labels as well as large retailers.

The fair runs twice a year. The winter show presents spring-summer collections with a savoir-faire focus, and the September show covers autumn-winter with an innovation and technology focus. The February 2025 show drew nearly 30,000 professionals from 126 countries, and in September 2026 six in ten visitors came from abroad. The organizer is steering it toward a working forum for the trade, with a larger talks program, meetings of European textile federations and a new opening to beauty suppliers.

How it compares

  1. Première Vision New YorkNew York, twice a year
  2. Munich Fabric StartMunich, twice a year
  3. Texworld Apparel Sourcing ParisParis, twice a year
  4. This show: Première Vision ParisParis, twice a year
  5. Milano UnicaMilan, twice a year
  6. LineapelleRho - Milan, twice a year
  7. Blossom Première VisionParis, twice a year

The closest rival in time and place is Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris, which opens in Paris the day before with about 1,300 exhibitors and a heavier weight of volume apparel suppliers from Asia. Many sourcing teams do both; Texworld for price and capacity, Première Vision for creative and premium development.

A week later, Milano Unica gathers 737 exhibitors with a strong Italian core and is the better choice for a buyer whose collection is built on Italian wool, silk and shirting. Munich Fabric Start works the same seasonal calendar for German-speaking and northern European brands, with a deeper denim section.

For leather, Lineapelle in Milan is the specialist, with 1,029 exhibitors and 22,800 trade visitors in 2026. Première Vision suits leather goods and footwear teams that also need fabrics and trims on the same trip.

Inside the group, Première Vision New York brings about 140 exhibitors to North American brands, and Blossom Première Vision serves luxury pre-collections in a small Paris setting. Paris is the one to choose when a single trip has to cover the whole upstream chain, from fiber to finished garment, with the season's color and material direction attached.

The trip for designers, product developers and sourcing teams at creative, premium and luxury fashion brands who want a vetted cross-section of the world's mills, tanneries and trim makers in one place, along with the season's color and material direction.

Who exhibits

The list reads like a supply chain for European luxury: Calais lace makers Sophie Hallette and Solstiss, Italian tanner Gruppo Mastrotto, fiber producer Lenzing and sole maker Vibram. Large vertical groups such as Bossa from Turkey and Arvind from India sit beside them, and the Smart Creation area brings next-generation materials and software, from Uncaged Innovations to CLO Virtual Fashion and Heuritech. Most exhibitors are small and mid-sized specialists, and a group of French firms carry the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label.

Première Vision Paris 2027

This year's winter show moves from its February slot into January and fills Halls 5 and 6 with spring-summer 2028 collections. India is the guest country, the next chapter of the Territories of Savoir-Faire program after France, Portugal and Japan, with a dedicated pavilion organized with India's Ministry of Textiles around handloom weaving, block printing, ikat and regional embroidery.

Entry changes as well: professionals now choose among four access options when they register.

  • Start with the India pavilion and the Territories of Savoir-Faire route if you are looking for handloom, block-printed or embroidered fabrics; this is the show where those workshops are gathered and presented together.
  • Catch one of the Première Vision fashion team's color and trend seminars before walking the fabric halls, so you can judge each mill's collection against the season's direction.
  • Bags and coats must be checked at the paid cloakrooms in the Halls 5 and 6 gallery; prebook it with your e-pass to skip the drop-off line.
  • Flying into Charles de Gaulle, take the free shuttle from Terminal 2, which stops in front of Hall 1.
