St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show 2027

St. Petersburg brings boat buying and practical seamanship together on Florida’s Gulf Coast. More than 30,000 people attended in 2025, and half said their main reason for coming was to buy. The waterfront setting puts new boats and brokerage stock within the same trip: center console fishing boats, family cruisers, yachts, sailboats, and kayaks share the show with equipment for boats already in use.

In 2026, more than 350 boats were displayed on land and in the water. The other substantial draw is the 40,000-square-foot marine-gear tent, where visitors can work through accessories and equipment alongside their boat search. Annapolis School of Seamanship courses add hands-on powerboat instruction to the waterfront display. That combination gives the show a clear role for Florida owners and seasonal visitors: compare a vessel, talk through its operation, and investigate what it will need once it is yours.

How it compares

  1. This show: St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat ShowSt. Petersburg
  2. Annapolis Sailboat ShowAnnapolis

For a Gulf Coast buyer, Suncoast Boat Show is the closest alternative. Its spring setting at Marina Jack in Sarasota combines motor yachts and sportfishers with inflatables, kayaks, electronics, and accessories. It makes sense for buyers whose search centers on Sarasota dealers and the boating season there. St. Petersburg brings the same west-coast market into winter, with sailboats, brokerage inventory, and a substantial equipment tent alongside the powerboat display.

Miami International Boat Show takes the search into a wider international market. It welcomed more than 100,000 visitors in 2026 and spreads its boat and marine-product displays across convention-center and waterfront locations. Buyers comparing a broad set of brands or planning a larger product launch have a different opportunity there. St. Petersburg concentrates the trip around Gulf Coast ownership and a single downtown waterfront.

For a sailing-led shortlist, Annapolis Sailboat Show offers a dedicated autumn gathering of multihulls, monohulls, cruisers, racers, sails, rigging, and charter companies. It is the stronger fit when sailing suppliers are the whole purpose of the trip. St. Petersburg is useful when a sailboat purchase sits alongside powerboat comparisons, brokerage shopping, or equipment work for a Florida-based boat.

St. Petersburg suits Gulf Coast boat buyers who want new and brokerage vessels, marine gear, and hands-on seamanship in one waterfront trip.

Who exhibits

The 2026 directory placed Central Marine on the waterfront ramps and United Yacht Sales in the tent, while Galati Yacht Sales listed an Absolute yacht among the boats. That mix connects boat sales with the equipment and services around ownership. Powerboats, sailboats, and marine accessories share the same waterfront site. For a visitor, the useful distinction is between comparing vessels on the docks and working through the gear that supports them ashore.

St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show 2027

St. Petersburg 2027 returns to the yacht basin and Albert Whitted Park with new and brokerage powerboats and sailboats, marine equipment, and practical boating education. The on-water program pairs Annapolis School of Seamanship with Progressive for Basic Boat Operator, Women at the Wheel, and Junior Captains courses. Fishing clinics and seminars extend the visit beyond comparing boats, giving families and owners a reason to spend time ashore as well as on the docks.

  • For an equipment purchase, make the marine-gear tent the center of the visit; it brings accessories and equipment together beside the waterfront display.
  • Use Women at the Wheel or Basic Boat Operator to work on powerboat handling with Annapolis School of Seamanship captains, alongside the boat comparisons.
  • For families with young boaters, pair the kids’ fishing clinics with Junior Captains so the visit includes practical activity as well as boats on display.
