In 2025, it attracted 7,700 attendees from 104 countries and 197 exhibitors, with 82% of exhibitors coming from outside France. That international supplier base gives the Paris gathering a role beyond the French banking market: government identity projects, secure credentials and payment infrastructure all have a place here.
Its roots are in CARTES Secure Connexions, the smart card event that became TRUSTECH in 2016. Cards remain part of the conversation, alongside biometrics, authentication, digital wallets and cryptography. The exhibition sits beside a conference program, an Innovation Stage and arranged business meetings. For a bank, public agency or technology provider, the attraction is the overlap between how a person is identified and how a transaction is trusted.
How it compares

Identity Week Europe is the closest alternative for a buyer whose main brief concerns identity. Its Amsterdam conference and exhibition covers secure credentials, biometrics, identity access management, verification and border control. Government documents, travel credentials and fraud are prominent themes. A team building an identity system can concentrate its discussions there; TRUSTECH adds a substantial payments conversation to that supplier search.
Money20/20 Europe serves a broader financial services agenda in Amsterdam. Banks, fintech businesses, retailers and technology companies meet around banking models, digital assets, payment rails and commercial partnerships. It suits a payment company seeking distribution or relationships across the financial ecosystem. TRUSTECH is more closely connected to the technologies underneath a credential or secure transaction, including smart cards, authentication and cryptography.
The choice turns on the project. Identity specialists have a focused alternative in Identity Week; financial services teams have the wider Money20/20 network. TRUSTECH makes sense when a procurement or product team needs to discuss payment security and identification together, or to connect a physical credential with the digital services it enables.
TRUSTECH is the right trip for teams buying or building secure payment and identity systems that must work together.
Who exhibits
The supplier mix spans smart cards, payment systems and identification technology. The 2025 Innovation Awards put that breadth in concrete terms: Infineon Technologies won the Smart Cards category, Market Pay won the payments award, and IAI Industrial Systems B.V. won Identification. Cooperativa INCoop received the Banks & Issuers award. These businesses illustrate the meeting point between components, payment services, document production and issuers that gives TRUSTECH its character.

TRUSTECH 2026
The 2026 program puts digital sovereignty, AI and the transition to post-quantum security alongside payments and identity. Connected Human 2030 examines applications in transport, cities and healthcare. Other sessions address European payment challenges, identity as sovereign infrastructure, deepfakes and payment fraud, and autonomous AI in complex transactions. EESTEL contributes sessions on quantum threats and agentic commerce, while the Innovation Stage and awards keep product demonstrations alongside the conference discussion.
- Use the #ID and #PAY tracks to match your project: sovereign identity infrastructure and payment fraud appear in separate sessions.
- For a post-quantum security project, include the EESTEL quantum-threat session; for autonomous transactions, look for its agentic-commerce seminar.
- The TRUSTECH Party is reserved for exhibitors, VIPs, speakers and press pass holders.
Exhibiting
The stand offering suits suppliers of secure cards, identity systems and payment technology that need both technical discussions and issuer contacts. Allocation requires a deposit, and shared stands need the corresponding co-exhibitor or collective pack. The exhibitor badge allocation is six badges per 12 m²; pavilion organizers distribute that quota among participating companies. Bare-stand plans go to the appointed reviewer, and operating machines require a separate declaration.
