In 2026, it drew more than 51,200 attendees from 124 countries and 515 exhibiting brands. China, India, Saudi Arabia, the UK and Germany were among the largest international visitor contingents, bringing international suppliers and regional energy projects into the Abu Dhabi gathering.

Hosted by Masdar within Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, WFES combines an equipment exhibition with conversations about deployment, investment and government energy priorities. Utilities, developers, procurement teams and investors sit alongside technology companies and public bodies. Its direction extends beyond generating renewable electricity: AI, industrial decarbonization, circular economy and green hydrogen increasingly share the program. Middle East Energy in Dubai is the closer alternative for companies selling transformers, switchgear, backup power and the equipment that keeps electrical networks running. Its mix of utilities, contractors, distributors and manufacturers makes it a natural choice for electrical infrastructure procurement. Solar and storage also feature there, but transmission, distribution and resilient power supply provide a different commercial center of gravity.

For a concentrated solar sourcing trip, Intersolar Europe in Munich brings manufacturers, distributors, installers and project developers together around photovoltaics, solar thermal and solar power plants. Its 2027 forecast is 1,170 exhibitors for Intersolar Europe itself. That density favors product comparison and solar supply chain relationships, especially for companies developing a European customer or distribution base.

Clean Power Hydrogen adds electrolyzer technology, while Lindner and Eldan bring recycling equipment. World Future Energy Summit 2027

WFES 2027 builds on a broader technology mix established last year, when the program combined AI, green hydrogen, climate finance and circular economy with the equipment exhibition. The 2026 show brought 122 startups into its AI and technology hub. The current lineup again combines solar and battery suppliers with regional grid, waste and industrial organizations.
