In 2026 it drew 12,286 visitors from 98 countries and 478 exhibiting companies, spanning the equipment, materials and digital systems that shape life onboard. Airline engineering and procurement teams meet aircraft manufacturers, lessors, maintenance providers and designers around the same physical products: seating, galleys, lighting, surfaces and connected cabin technology.
The useful tension is between passenger experience and the constraints of an aircraft program. A seat or screen has to work within weight, certification, retrofit and operating requirements as well as a brand concept. AIX puts those questions close to suppliers who build the hardware and integrate the systems. Its IFEC Zone adds content, connectivity and cabin management to the discussion. The BizJet Interiors Zone, introduced in 2026, extends the commercial cabin mix into bespoke seating, luxury materials and technologies for business aviation.
How it compares
- Passenger Experience ConferenceHamburg
- World Travel Catering & Onboard Services ExpoHamburg, 4,000
- This show: Aircraft Interiors Expo12K
- APEX FTE EXPOSingapore
World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo is the closest companion. Its suppliers address catering, onboard retail, amenities and passenger comfort, while AIX concentrates on equipment installed in the cabin. An airline choosing both a seat environment and the service delivered around it can use the two shows to connect engineering specifications with the onboard product.
APEX FTE EXPO in Singapore brings the inflight experience together with airport operations, passenger processing and digital transformation. That broader passenger journey and its APAC connections suit customer experience and technology partnerships extending from the terminal to the aircraft. AIX is the more focused setting when the project centers on cabin materials, seating, equipment integration or a retrofit program.
Passenger Experience Conference complements the supplier floor with a strategic conversation among airlines, OEMs, designers and suppliers about the future onboard environment. It is useful for framing the problems a cabin program needs to solve; AIX then gives the team equipment and suppliers against which to test that thinking. The choice depends on whether the trip needs a design and engineering sourcing floor, digital partnerships spanning the airport and the cabin, or both.
AIX is the right trip for airline cabin, engineering and procurement teams turning a passenger experience concept into equipment and retrofit decisions.
Who exhibits
The mix runs from airframers and cabin integrators to narrow specialists. Airbus and Diehl Aviation sit alongside Bucher galleys and cabin fittings, Acro seating, Bluebox digital inflight entertainment and DuPont Tedlar surface materials. That range matters because a cabin program crosses several supplier disciplines: a finish must fit the structure, a seat must work with power and lighting, and a digital service needs compatible hardware. The floor lets engineers and product teams compare those dependencies in one setting.

Aircraft Interiors Expo 2027
AIX 2027 continues the move into business aviation through the BizJet Interiors Zone, with bespoke seating, premium materials and cabin technologies alongside the commercial aircraft supply chain. The Intelligent Cabin adds a focus on emerging technologies and startups. The IFEC Zone brings hardware, software, connectivity and content into the same sourcing conversation, while CabinSpace Live and AIX Connect connect the equipment floor with industry discussion and buyer-supplier meetings.
- Treat the IFEC Zone as a separate sourcing track: compare connectivity hardware alongside content services, cabin management systems and digital onboard retail.
- Use the BizJet Interiors Zone when the project involves bespoke seating, luxury materials or a business aircraft cabin completion.
- For a cabin project that also changes meals, amenities or onboard retail, divide the sourcing work between AIX equipment suppliers and World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo.
