In 2026, 87% of its audience were influencers or key decision-makers. The buying brief is broad: keeping commercial vehicles working while assessing electric vans, charging, alternative fuels and the software that connects drivers, workshops and dispatch.
Birmingham brings those decisions onto the same floor. Vehicle manufacturers sit alongside converters, safety specialists, fleet software and workshop suppliers, so the conversation can move from a new van to its fit-out, energy supply and maintenance. That makes the show relevant to service fleets and delivery operators as well as road freight businesses. Nineteen Group acquired CV Show in 2025, retaining the RHA and SMMT as industry partners. The co-located Bus & Coach Expo extends the visit into passenger transport, while the main show's center of gravity remains British commercial fleet operations.
How it compares
- This show: Commercial Vehicle Show 2027Birmingham, 18K
- Road Transport ExpoStoneleigh
- IAA TransportationHannover, every two years
- RTX ScotlandGlasgow, 7,000
Road Transport Expo is the closest domestic comparison, but its Stoneleigh show is explicitly organized around trucks and everything related to them. Heavy haulage operators comparing HGVs, trailers and associated equipment have a focused reason to choose it, with ride-and-drive experiences central to the offer. CV Show is a stronger fit when vans, conversions, fleet systems and workshop operations all sit within the purchasing brief.
For international manufacturers and suppliers, IAA Transportation offers a different scale. Hannover brought together 1,589 exhibitors from 46 countries in 2026. Its breadth suits export partnerships, global product launches and a wide survey of vehicle and component development. CV Show concentrates those conversations on the British fleet market, where local support, compliance and operating requirements shape the purchase.
RTX Scotland gives suppliers and operators a regional route into the Scottish truck market. Glasgow makes sense when that geography is the commercial priority; Birmingham brings a broader mix of British fleets and commercial vehicle applications. Passenger transport buyers can also use the co-located Bus & Coach Expo to compare bus and coach systems alongside shared charging, safety and maintenance suppliers. CV Show's particular value is the connection between the vehicle and the operational work around it.
CV Show suits British fleet buyers who need to compare vehicles, conversions, charging and operational systems in the same visit.
Who exhibits
Ford, Kia and Renault Trucks anchor the vehicle side, while Bott and Modul-System bring the conversion and racking work that makes a fleet vehicle usable. Brigade Electronics adds safety equipment; Aptean, Samsara and R2C connect the conversation to routing, compliance and workshops. This mix is useful for operators whose purchasing decisions cross departments: a vehicle choice affects fit-out, energy, maintenance and driver safety. Fleet associations and charities also have stands, making the floor broader than a lineup of manufacturers.

Commercial Vehicle Show 2027
CV Show 2027 builds on the redesigned floor and expanded program introduced in 2026. The Future Fleet Arena returns with connected vehicles, AI fleet management, alternative fuels and infrastructure. The Driver Safety Theatre, delivered with National Highways, addresses fatigue, wellbeing and incident prevention. Ride & Drive and hands-on demonstrations keep the program tied to equipment in use, while the Networking Hub and neighboring Bus & Coach Leaders Forum connect operational questions with the people running fleets.
- For a mixed diesel and electric fleet, use the Future Fleet Arena to compare fuels and infrastructure alongside the vehicle suppliers; its scope extends beyond electric vans.
- Bring the person responsible for driver risk to the Driver Safety Theatre: its National Highways program covers fatigue and wellbeing alongside compliance.
- If your fleet includes minibuses or coaches, include the neighboring Bus & Coach Expo and Leaders Forum; passenger transport policy and funding sit there alongside shared fleet technology.
