In 2026, the Rosemont gathering registered 1,305 people in person. Food safety roles accounted for 49% of its audience and quality assurance or quality control another 15%, giving the supplier hall a clear operational focus. Manufacturers and processors meet retailers, foodservice operators, distributors, laboratory specialists and regulators here.

Food Safety Magazine and BNP Media run the Summit with an Educational Advisory Board drawn from across the supply chain. Its combination of certificate courses, workshops, conference sessions and an exhibit hall makes it useful when a team needs both technical education and a practical response to a plant or supplier problem. Recent programs have brought artificial intelligence, food traceability and foreign-material control into the same conversation as sanitation, allergens and food safety culture. The federal-agency Town Hall gives that discussion a direct regulatory dimension.

How it compares

  1. This show: Food Safety SummitRosemont, 1,400
  2. IAFP Annual MeetingKansas City, 3,000
  3. Food Safety ConsortiumArlington

IAFP Annual Meeting is the stronger choice when the trip centers on emerging science, research exchange and connections across industry, academia and government. It moves among North American cities and draws a global food-protection community. Kansas City hosts its next gathering. The scientific program and research network matter particularly to microbiologists, laboratory leaders and professionals developing the evidence behind a food safety system.

Food Safety Consortium takes a different route. Its Arlington conference connects policy, technology and executive-level training, with food integrity and food defense alongside food safety. Tabletop exhibits sit around a program of panels and presentations. Co-location with the Cannabis Quality Conference adds a useful crossover for teams working in infused products, testing or overlapping quality systems. That setting suits a leadership or policy discussion more than a broad equipment comparison.

The Summit earns its place when the question is how to implement a program across production, distribution, retail or foodservice. Its hall connects laboratory testing, pest exclusion, hygiene and digital compliance, while courses and workshops let the same team develop its skills. Dedicated exhibit periods keep classroom sessions from competing with supplier conversations. For a quality team choosing among tools for a specific operational problem, that combination is the central reason to choose Rosemont.

Food Safety Summit is a focused trip for food safety and quality teams that need to connect technical training with decisions about the tools used in daily operations.

Who exhibits

The hall spans the physical and digital sides of food protection. bioMerieux and Bruker sit in testing and laboratory equipment, while Hygiena extends the testing segment. Trustwell and TraceGains represent software and traceability; Vikan and Amerisan bring hygiene and sanitation into the mix. Certification, training and regulatory associations round out the floor. This is a supplier conversation about preventing, detecting and managing food safety failures across a facility and its supply chain.

Food Safety Summit 2027

The 2027 Summit builds its hall program around Tech Tents and Solutions Stage theaters, with Trustwell, SGS, LUBRIPLATE and FSS, Inc. among the announced presenters. Supplier demonstrations sit alongside the conference and networking program. The Community Hub adds a Thursday beer garden, while a new Tuesday attendee lunch follows the opening workshop. Hall G on the convention center’s upper level anchors the exhibition, bringing training, demonstrations and informal conversations into a compact working visit.

  • Use the Tech Tents for software demonstrations and the Solutions Stage for supplier-led education; they serve different purposes on the same floor.
  • Treat the opening Welcome Reception as a supplier session: it takes place inside the exhibition, with the booths open.
  • Bring colleagues from plant operations and quality to the Community Hub; its coffee, snack and beer-garden formats give them room to continue conversations started in the theaters.

Exhibiting

Stand space is supplied without carpet or furnishings, and exhibitors must provide flooring. The contract includes full-conference badges in proportion to booth area, so a supplier team can join the technical program as well as staff the stand. Tech Tent and Solutions Stage packages provide presentation options, while a premium listing and the guided-tour sponsorship add ways to explain a specialist solution. The strongest fit is a vendor whose demonstration addresses a specific safety, quality or compliance task.
