It fills the Sands Expo & Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands together with Restaurant Asia, which IEG Asia co-organizes with the Restaurant Association of Singapore, so one trade badge covers gelato, pastry, chocolate, bakery, pizza, coffee and tea alongside kitchen equipment, restaurant technology, ingredients and a spirits and nightlife pavilion.

The show is young and has grown every year. The first SIGEP Asia in June 2024 drew more than 11,000 visitors; the July 2026 show reported more than 14,000 trade visitors and over 400 exhibitors and brands from 43 countries. About 26 percent of visitors came from abroad, led by China, Malaysia and Indonesia. Café, bar and dessert operators are the largest visitor group, followed by wholesalers, distributors and importers.

IEG Asia sells it as a boutique show and is putting its effort into arranged buyer contact: a hosted buyer program that brought more than 160 buyers in 2026, speed-networking rounds with Indonesian hotel purchasers and airline caterers, and daily sessions that put exhibitors in front of Singapore restaurant operators.

How it compares

  1. HOFEX - Food & Hospitality Trade ShowHong Kong, every two years
  2. Restaurant AsiaSingapore
  3. This show: SIGEP Asia

FHA Food & Hospitality Asia is the larger Singapore food and hospitality fair, held each April, and it is the better trip for a buyer who wants the widest range of suppliers across every food category in one visit. SIGEP Asia is narrower and suits buyers whose business runs on coffee, gelato, pastry, bakery and pizza, where Italian machinery and ingredient brands set the tone of the floor.

For dessert and coffee specialists willing to fly to Europe, Sigep - The Dolce World Expo in Rimini each January is the parent show and the far deeper market for Italian equipment and ingredients. It also hosts the world finals that SIGEP Asia's gelato and bakery selections qualify teams for. SIGEP Asia brings part of that supply chain to Southeast Asia, with the regional distributors who stock it on hand.

Operators in Thailand and Indochina can find hotel and restaurant equipment closer to home at THAIFEX - HOREC Asia in Bangkok, and Hong Kong and South China buyers have HOFEX - Food & Hospitality Trade Show in May. SIGEP Asia's July slot falls after both, and its competitions, hosted buyers and links to the ASEAN restaurant associations make it the stronger choice for companies looking for partners across Southeast Asia from a Singapore base.

SIGEP Asia is the right trip for café, bakery, gelato and restaurant operators in Southeast Asia, and the distributors who supply them, who want Italian-led coffee, dessert and kitchen equipment sourcing without flying to Rimini.

Who exhibits

Italian equipment and ingredient makers form the core: Carpigiani and Fabbri for gelato, La Marzocco, Nuova Simonelli and Victoria Arduino for espresso, Molino Dallagiovanna and Manna Forni in the Neapolitan pizza pavilion. Singapore distributors such as Boncafe and Sia Huat stand alongside beverage brands like Monin, Torani and Oatly, kitchen robotics from Keenon Robotics, and producer groups from China, Japan and Vietnam, so visitors can meet imported brands and their local agents on the same floor.

SIGEP Asia 2027

The July 2026 show filled Halls A, B and C and added Bread in the City, the Asia selection for the Bakery World Cup, next to the Gelato World Cup Asia selection and the Singapore National Coffee Championship. Japan won the gelato selection and Korea the bakery title, and both teams go on to the finals at SIGEP World in Rimini. A new ambassador program put chefs including Janice Wong and Antonio Brancato on the main stage, and the RAS Leadership Symposium focused on AI in restaurant operations.

The next show runs in July 2027 at the same venue and halls, with a Panettone World Cup Asia selection and wider hosted buyer recruitment across ASEAN on the announced program.

  • Coffee buyers should allow time at the Singapore National Coffee Championship, which runs across all three days and brings the city's roasters, baristas and café owners to the floor.
  • The SIGEP Sessions masterclasses with Italian gelato, pizza and pastry chefs ran on the second and third days in 2026, so those days carry the most live demonstrations.
  • Hotel, restaurant-group and distribution buyers from outside Singapore can apply for the hosted buyer program, which in 2026 covered three hotel nights and part of the airfare in return for scheduled meetings with exhibitors.
  • Kitchen equipment, POS and robotics suppliers sit on the Restaurant Asia side of the hall, so operators shopping for back-of-house technology should start there.

Exhibiting

Stands are booked directly with IEG Asia. Beyond the booth, exhibitors can take part in the hosted buyer meetings, the Xcelerate speed-networking rounds with hotel purchasing and airline catering buyers, and daily networking sessions with Singapore restaurant operators, and early bookers for 2027 get a waived registration fee and a small marketing package. It pays off best for brands looking for Southeast Asian distributors or a first foothold with Singapore cafés, bakeries and restaurant groups.
